Maximus Air Cargo bags award for customer service website
Maximus Air Cargo, the largest all-cargo airline in the Middle East, has been awarded the Bronze Award in the airline category of the 2009 Pan Arab Web Awards (PAWA).
Competing against seven major passenger airlines from the Middle East and North Africa, which also made the final short-list, the Abu Dhabi-based ‘Care by Air’ carrier becomes the only cargo airline to be honoured at the awards ceremony held in Dubai’s Burj Al Arab hotel.
The awards were judged on five main criteria including creativity, ease of use, structure, aesthetics and interactivity.
Maximus president and CEO Fathi Buhazza commented: “This is a major success for our company considering that we were up against such strong competition from the industry, primarily passenger carriers with far more complex online services. We have worked hard to make our new website as functional as possible for our customers, so it is great to see our efforts recognised by a credible and independent entity such as PAWA.”
Maximus currently employs more than 140 staff and owns a fleet of eight all-cargo aircraft operating across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia. “This award has encouraged us to maintain the highest standards of service and to reinforce our commitment to our clients,” added Buhazza.
The new Maximus site was designed and built by Zed Communications in Dubai, which received a total of 19 PAWA awards in 2009, more than any other agency in the Middle East.
